I have always been creative at my core. However, as I navigated the typical millennial journey of school to university then straight into a career, I noticed my peers gravitating towards programs and careers of the corporate nature, and it engrained in me that success meant to pursue a degree and career in STEM. As I continued my 9-5 career, I began to crave a creative outlet to supplement my dull days at the office…
Thus began several years of sketching, evolving into designing products like personalized Christmas ornaments, fun trendy stickers, and commissioned art from friends, experiences that have culminated in what is now known as Stacy Tang Design, a WOC-led full-service design studio. As time went on, I realized I needed to pivot and give this career a real chance by quitting my 9-5, a task I proudly achieved in May 2022.
Trust me, I understand the RISK in leaving a cushy corporate job for the great unknown, but it is in this understanding that has enabled me to create bold and beautiful designs for my clients.
